VM-5 Conference Room Sound Reinforcement System

With its diversified equipment combination and outstanding audio processing capabilities, this system solution supports a wide range of application scenarios:

1.Conference Scenarios

(1) Large-scale Business Meetings

For multi-day business conferences held by enterprises or industry associations, the system is equipped with two sets of 1-to-4 wireless goose-neck-shaped conference microphones, which can meet the speaking needs of numerous participants and ensure that everyone’s voice is clearly captured and amplified.Meanwhile, the 16-channel mixer and 4-input 8-output processor enable precise adjustment of multi-channel audio signals, ensuring uniform and clear sound in large conference rooms accommodating hundreds of people, avoiding issues such as sound mixing and poor intelligibility caused by large space and crowds.

(2) High-end Board Meetings

For board meetings with high requirements for confidentiality and sound quality, the wireless goose-neck-shaped conference microphones feature strong directivity, effectively shielding external

interference and focusing on capturing the speaker’s voice.Handheld wireless microphones provide convenience for directors who need to stand up or move around temporarily. In addition, the combination of 5-inch column speakers + subwoofer and 4-inch column fill speakers creates a high-quality, uniform sound field, allowing participants to focus on the meeting content in a clear and stable audio environment.

(3) Remote Video Conferences

A computer can be directly connected to the system as a signal source. During remote video conferences, the system optimizes and amplifies audio signals from the computer, and the matched speakers ensure clear and loud sound. At the same time, the audio processing equipment supports noise reduction and echo cancellation. Even with multiple people speaking simultaneously, the sound remains clean and free of interference, improving the effectiveness of remote communication.

2. Educational Scenarios

(1) Large Academic Lectures

In large academic lectures held by schools or academic institutions, handheld wireless microphones allow lecturers to move freely around the podium and interact with the audience.Multiple

for guest Q&A sessions to ensure clear transmission of questions. The sound reinforcement equipment provides uniform coverage throughout large lecture halls or auditoriums, so every listener can hear the lecture clearly, creating a positive learning atmosphere.

(2) Multimedia Teaching

In multimedia classrooms, teaching audio (courseware explanations, video materials, etc.) played from a computer is amplified by the system for clearer and louder sound.Teachers can use handheld wireless microphones to teach without cable restrictions, moving freely in the classroom to enhance flexibility and interaction. In addition, the system’s audio processing functions optimize teaching audio, highlight key content, and help students better understand and absorb knowledge.

3.Event Scenarios

(1) Corporate Annual Meetings

Corporate annual meetings usually include speeches, performances, interactive games, etc.Handheld wireless microphones meet the movement needs of hosts and performers on stage, while wireless goose-neck-shaped microphones are used for

leadership speeches. The speaker system delivers high-quality sound for music playback, video audio, and live voice reinforcement, creating a lively and cheerful annual meeting atmosphere.

(2) Small-scale Cultural Performances

For small performances such as school talent shows and community galas, the system provides professional audio support. The combination of 5-inch column speakers + subwoofer and 4-inch column fill speakers creates a rich, full sound field.12-inch monitor speakers allow performers to hear accompaniment and their own voice clearly, improving performance quality. The audio processor supports targeted sound adjustment for singing, recitation, instrumental performance, etc., to enhance overall effects.

4.Training Scenarios

(1) Skills Training

In vocational skills training rooms, instructors often play teaching videos and give live demonstrations. The system ensures clear transmission of video audio and instructor’s voice. Multiple microphones support trainee Q&A and interaction. For practical training such as cooking or auto repair, instructors can use handheld wireless microphones to move freely in the operation area, and

trainees ask questions via wireless goose-neck-shaped microphones, ensuring smooth and efficient communication.

(2) Sales Training

Sales training usually includes scenario simulation and case analysis. The audio system plays simulation audio and amplifies training content clearly.Trainees can use microphones to participate in discussions and role-plays. Through sound reinforcement, everyone can hear speeches clearly, promoting communication and learning.

5.System Equipment Composition

(1) Signal Source Equipment

1)Computer: Provides audio signals such as presentation audio and video audio, serving as one of the multimedia audio sources of the system.

2)1-to-4 wireless goose-neck-shaped conference microphones: Two sets, each supporting 4 microphones. Suitable for conferences, fixed on conference tables to capture participants’ voices. Features high directivity and anti-interference, effectively picking up speech while reducing ambient noise.

3)Handheld wireless microphones: Two sets, 2 microphones per set. Mainly used for mobile speaking such as speeches and interactive sessions, offering high flexibility.

(2) Audio Processing Equipment

1)16-channel mixer: Core processing equipment of the audio system. Supports volume adjustment, equalization, sound image positioning, and mixing of multiple input signals (computer audio, microphones, etc.) to achieve ideal sound effects.

2)4-input 8-output processor: Further processes audio signals, including digital audio processing, signal distribution, and effect adjustment (reverb, delay, etc.). Receives signals from the 16-channel mixer, processes them, and outputs to power amplifiers.

(3) Power Amplification & Sound Production Equipment

1)2-channel power amplifier: Although not separately labeled in the diagram, signals from the 4-input 8-output processor are

amplified by the 2-channel amplifier to provide sufficient driving power for speakers.

2)5-inch column speaker + subwoofer: Main loudspeaker system. Column speakers handle mid-high frequencies with strong directivity for targeted sound projection; subwoofers enhance low frequencies for fuller, more impactful sound.

3)4-inch column fill speakers: Compensate for uneven sound areas to ensure uniform coverage throughout the venue.

4)12-inch monitor speakers: Placed near speakers (e.g., front sides of the conference table). Provide clear audio feedback so speakers can hear their own voice clearly and avoid speaking too loudly.

6.Signal Transmission Path

(1) Input Stage

1)Audio signals from the computer are transmitted directly to the 16-channel mixer via signal cables.

2)Audio signals captured by wireless goose-neck-shaped and handheld wireless microphones are converted and input to the 16-channel mixer via signal cables.

(2) Processing Stage

1)The 16-channel mixer performs preliminary processing: volume adjustment, timbre modification, signal mixing, etc., then outputs to the 4-input 8-output processor.

2)The 4-input 8-output processor further optimizes signals with digital effects and signal distribution to meet acoustic requirements.

(3) Output Stage

1)Processed audio signals are output from the 4-input 8-output processor to the 2-channel power amplifier for power amplification.

2)Amplified signals are sent via speaker cables to 5-inch column + subwoofer, 4-inch column fill, and 12-inch monitor speakers, which convert them into sound to cover the space.

7.Cable Types and Functions

(1) Signal cables:

Transmit audio electrical signals, connecting computers, microphones, 16-channel mixer, and 4-input 8-output processor to ensure stable audio transmission.

(2) Speaker cables:

Connect power amplifiers and speakers, transmitting amplified audio signals with sufficient power-carrying capacity for effective signal transmission and normal speaker operation.

2.In-depth Analysis of Core Challenges

Taking into account the actual acoustic environment and application scenarios of medium and large-scale sports venues, the causes and manifestations of the two core challenges are summarized as follows:
