1.Project Background

Invested and built by Hai'an Ruihai Group, Ruihai Jinling Hotel is a comprehensive high-end business hotel with a construction area of approximately 55,000 square meters, fully operated and managed by Jinling Hotel Management Company.

Adjacent to Hai'an High-Speed Railway Station and located in the downtown CBD business district, the hotel enjoys convenient transportation surrounded by commercial complexes. It features 253 luxurious and comfortable guest rooms and suites.

The hotel offers two multi-function banquet halls of 1,500 ㎡ and 800 ㎡, plus meeting rooms of various sizes, with a total area of about 5,000 ㎡, providing ideal venues for conferences, celebrations, gatherings, weddings and other events.

F&B facilities include private dining rooms of different styles, Golden Bay Western Restaurant, Guizhou-style Specialty Restaurant, Lobby Lounge, Chinese A La Carte Restaurant and Executive Lounge, all dedicated to offering guests high-quality and elegant dining experiences.

On the top floor, there is a 2,000 ㎡ wellness center featuring a multi-function gym, chess & cards room, tea house, beauty salon, billiards room, table tennis room, badminton court and more, making it a perfect choice for guests to relax and enjoy sports.

2.Project Requirements

Golden Jade Marriage (Grand Ballroom) Valtec Sound Reinforcement System Solution

The 1,500-square-meter multi-functional ballroom serves as a venue for wedding events, corporate dinners, large-scale gatherings, speeches, reports, press conferences, product displays, small and medium-sized cultural performances, dances, and other activities.

The ballroom is equipped with a professional sound reinforcement system, an advanced multimedia display system, a rich stage lighting system, and an intelligent centralized control system. It provides excellent sound quality, clear image display, and simple and convenient centralized control for holding wedding events, corporate dinners, large-scale gatherings, various meetings, academic reports, movie screenings, small and medium-sized cultural performances, and other activities.

3.System Features

To meet the user’s requirement for uniform sound field coverage, primarily for performance sound reinforcement, we designed and installed VALTEC VQ Series dual 10-inch line array speakers as the main sound reinforcement system.

Based on the ballroom’s area, we configured:

● 2 arrays × 6 dual 10-inch line array speakers

● 2 dual 18-inch subwoofers as main low-frequency reinforcement

● 2 dual 18-inch floor-standing subwoofers

At the stage lip, 2 × 12-inch monitor speakers are installed, together with 4 sets of mobile auxiliary single 10-inch line array speakers for supplementary sound reinforcement.

This setup ensures the ballroom audio system is flexible and multi-functional while maintaining premium sound quality.

The solution also includes an efficient zoning system, allowing the hotel to host multiple independent events simultaneously, with reconfigurable spaces free from acoustic interference.

Sports venues are predominantly constructed from hard reflective materials such as concrete and steel, with a low proportion of acoustic absorption treatments. This results in an extended natural reverberation time, typically ≥ 3 seconds within the 500–1000 Hz frequency band. Excessive reverberation leads to severe speech signal masking and significant degradation in intelligibility. Concurrently, ambient noise sources including audience cheering and equipment impact noise (with peak levels exceeding 85 dB) interact with reverberant energy, further compromising speech clarity and penetration. Consequently, critical information such as official announcements, operational instructions and event commentary cannot be reliably and accurately transmitted throughout the venue, which severely impairs the overall quality and efficiency of event management.
